-- During the past couple of months, we've gone through a shift in the lineup with Sweet D due to our drummer Tom having a baby (congratulations Tom!!) and our former bass player Ian moving on to a new project. The full band shows will be a lot more rockin' with Scott Smith back on the drums--he was our drummer from 2001 to 2002 and we were sad to see him go, but now he's back! Also, we have KEYBOARDS in our line-up now thanks to Don String, and you'll also see Jeremy Pullman on electric lead guitar, and Kevin Sullivan on bass guitar. We have new songs, and we're sounding better than ever! We'll be kickin' off the New Year with a rockin' full band show at Mulligan's in Redwood City on Friday, Jan. 7th! -- We had SUCH a great show at Slim's last time that one of our bookers has enthusiastically sought us out to host our CD Release Party at Slim's on Friday, May 21st starting at 8PM. This is gonna be an even BIGGER and FUNNER (is that a word?) party than last time. We are looking into getting a Party Bus together that will shuttle you and your friends to and from the show, so you don't have to worry about hassle of driving, finding and paying for parking, or dealing with drinking and driving. We'll keep you posted--check back here soon!!

-- All the recording for our new 3-song, professionally produced EP CD is now complete, and we’re finishing up the final mixes now. The CD is tentatively called "So Much More," and it includes two new songs ("My Day" and "No More"), as well as a newly-produced version of "Alone," all produced by local producer Adam Rossi. We in the band are real excited about how it’s sounding, and we know you’ll love the sound too. The CD will most likely be available sometime late March/early April. Be sure to check back to hear samples of the new songs and watch a "making of" video we’ll be putting together.

-- All we can say right now about the Slim's show is WOW. No wait, maybe HOLY COW. Nah, too cheesy. We'll just stick TRULY AWESOME!!! All three of those words are just some of the many words to describe the show last night. We were reminded yet again what GREAT and TRULY SUPPORTIVE fans and friends we have. We dedicate and owe our success at that show to you guys--without you we would not even be up there!! Thanks again to all of you who took your time and money to make it out we are eternally appreciative!
As you might have been able to tell, we had a great time on stage performing. What a blast. We got all kinds of compliments from all of you, the other bands, and even a few music industry folks(!) so we were (and still are) definitely riding high after our set.
AND we also want to recognize one person we neglected to announce as a special guest on backup vocals last night. A BIG THANK YOU to former SweetDuration member Mo Waters for taking his time to perform with us to reinforce Jenn's vocals. Thanks again, Mo!!

-- We'll have new SweetDuration stickers available at the Slim's show. We're thinking of having a little contest with these in the near future. Come down to the show, get 'em, and 'em stick somewhere! Stay tuned...

-- Wassssssupppp friends! WELL, the show at The Dragonfly in Hollywood went absolutely GREAT!! We had a great time and so did all of those who came out to see us! Speaking of those who came out to see us (and all those who couldn't but were thinking good thoughts:-), we owe a big huge crazy THANK YOU for all of your support!! We are TRULY grateful and lucky to have supporters like all you guys. Rock on!

-- We've been working like MAD to get all the last minute details worked out for our trip down south all worked out. It's a LOT of work to orchestrate everything just right while rehearsing and promoting the heck out of the show. What show you asked? Well, let us explain! It's at a club in Hollywood called The Dragonfly. We're going to be playing down there on Saturday, October 4th for a relatively short, but VERY important show from 9-9:35PM with other bands TBA.

-- Our new online store is up and running! You can get all kinds of cool stuff with the SweetDuration logo on it. YES! Check it out on our CD/Merchandise page.

-- Look for the new Sweet D store to appear on our website soon also. We found a vendor that will allow us to put our logo on just about anything you can think of (t-shirts, lunch boxes, boxer shorts, etc). Stay tuned for that one!

-- WE DID IT!!!!!! We won the Mix 106.5 Battle of the Bands contest, which now gets us a spot to open up for Dana Glover, Chantal Kreviazuk, and Josh Kelley at Mix 106.5's Concert for the Homeless. It will be held at Discovery Meadow Park right next to the Children's Discovery Museum on Thursday, July 3rd, admission is free, and gates open @ 4PM. Right now, it looks like we perform from 5:30PM-6PM.
BUT WE DID NOT WIN THIS BY OURSELVES!! Here's a HUGE THANK YOU!!! to everyone who came out again to support us. The roar of the crowd was truly awesome after we finished each song. We really couldn't have done it without ALL of your support and good wishes.

-- Hey Sweet D fans! Well, all of us in the band owe A HUGE thank you for ALL of you that took time out of your busy week to root us on and vote for us tonight at the 106.5FM Battle of the Bands for the opening slot of 106.5's Concert for the Homeless to be held on Thursday, July 3rd. We are now FINALISTS(!). We will be performing head to head against another band this upcoming Wednesday, June 25th, again, at Dave & Busters from 7-9PM. The winner from that show gets to open the Concert for the Homeless.
It was GREAT to see old faces who we haven't seen in awhile and new faces that we met for the first time. Also, a BIG thank you and high fives to the other bands we played with tonight: Sanama and Bizzare Love Triangle--you guys put on a great show!
So this next Wednesday, June 25th is when we REALLY would love to see you again. We won by only a few votes tonight, which really points out (yet again) how important each and every one of you are to our success. We're working on some goodies to throw your way when you come down to see us this next Wednesday too, so stay tuned!

-- Our search for a new bass player is going very well. There might be a new face added to Sweet Duration soon, so stay tuned.

With that said, we move on to the future of Sweet D. This summer, Jennifer, Mike, Aaron, and Mark will be getting together to work on some new originals and new covers to bring a brand new show to the stage. We will hopefully be scheduling some shows here and there during this summer, so keep an eye out for upcoming shows. Joining the Sweet D Mailing List is the greatest and easiest way to stay up to date on what's going on with the band.
